Waste glass & plastic
According to statistics, about 10 million tons of waste plastic is dumped directly into the ocean every year, and another 30 million tons are discarded in landfills around the world. Recycling a ton of waste glass can save 720 kg of quartz sand, 250 kg of soda ash, 60 kg of feldspar powder, 400 degrees of electricity. The plastic and glass recycling industry is estimated to be worth more than $10 billion by the end of 2022.
Waste plastic and glass mainly come from building materials, household appliances and food packaging applications. Compared to profitable metal recycling, plastic and glass are often more challenging due to their low density and value. There are many technical hurdles to overcome when recycling plastic. Although there are economic feasibility constraints, Tuofeng Environmental protection has been trying to develop a variety of waste plastic, glass recycling key technologies, to make a meaningful contribution to the related environmental protection.
